IQAC Objectives

In pursuance of the National Action Plan of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore, for performance evaluation, assessment and accreditation and quality upgradation of institutions of higher education, the NAAC proposes that every accredited institution should establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as a post-accreditation quality sustenance measure. Since quality  enhancement is a continuous process, the IQAC will become a part of an institution’s system and work  towards realising the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance. The prime task of the IQAC  is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the performance of institutions. The IQAC will make a significant and meaningful contribution in the post-accreditation phase of institutions. During the post-accreditation period, the IQAC will channelize the efforts and  measures of an institution towards academic excellence

The IQAC aims at quality sustenance and hence recommends improvement at all levels and is responsible for organizing professional and personal development programmes for faculty and students. It develops an action plan for the academic year and forwards suggestions and recommendations in important areas related to need-based academic programmes and the improvement of infrastructural facilities.

The IQAC of All Saints’ College has played a pivitol role in ensuring that the institution provides an ambience that is conducive to teaching and learning. Acting as the nodal centre of the institution it  advises faculty members on the mode of teaching –learning-evaluation to be followed prior to the commencement of the academic programme. It also ensures  the effective functioning of other bodies within the college for monitoring and decision making process. The quality framework with performance indicators is formulated as per the guidelines issued by the Higher Education Council . The IQAC sends a comprehensive report of the college activities to the NAAC accreditation team.  The Self Study Report of the institution has been sent to the NAAC for the third cycle of Re-Accreditation.
