Cultural events of the ‘Kriya’ fest on 16th and 17th January 2020

 

The excitement about the cultural events of the Kriya fest started early in the month of January. Active participation was also observed as the participants gave their names for various events such as music solos, Eastern and Western dances, Spot Choreography etc. The competitions were spread over two days in the auditorium and recreation hall. The cultural events of the ‘Kriya’ fest took place on the 16th and 17th of January, 2020. Students and participants were evidently excited as they happily went to various venues throughout the college. The events involving a large number of participants such as eastern and western solo dance, light music solo, doubles dance, spot choreography etc. were conducted on the 16th of January, 2020 at the New Auditorium and the Recreation Hall. Judges gave the results for the events immediately after the programmes. Events with relatively lighter participation were conducted in the morning hours from 10.00 am to 12.00 p.m. 

A wonderful spectacle awaited the audience as they returned from lunch. The events like spot choreography and doubles dance were thoroughly enjoyed by the enthused audience. Participants were delighted as their results were pronounced immediately after the event. At the end of the cultural programmes on 16th, the audience was given a surprise as the Union Members were given a stage for an exciting spot choreography event. It was dedicated to the Student Council who took great effort in making the event successful. 

The rest of the cultural events were conducted on 17th of January, 2020. The programmes got over by 2.30 p.m. Students showed great interest in participating for events such as clay modelling, poster making, Rangoli and face painting. The competitions were based on the theme of ecofeminism.
