Miss All Saints' Competition

 

The evergreen legacy of All Saints’ College, the Miss All Saints’ competition, was conducted on the 20th of January 2020. The college auditorium was filled with buzzing excitement.  The programmes started at 10.00 in the morning. While the contestants were getting ready for their first round, the audience and the guests were kept entertained with performances by Ms. Bhadra of I year B. Com. Finance and Sreenandana Hari of I year B. Sc. Chemistry. All the eighteen beautiful ladies were judged by Ms. Meera Nair, who is an actor, poet, writer and a media person, Ms. Rekha, a successful entrepreneur, a passionate classical dancer, and a doting mother of two and Ms. Shaarika Menon, a successful corporate lawyer and a creative social worker.

Final Round

The girls were tested on the basis of their capabilities, individuality and character. The first round was filled with the charm, exquisiteness and grace exhibited by the ladies while they presented themselves as different elements of nature. The spirit was upheld by various other cultural performances put up by the students of the departments of English and Commerce. The second round was welcomed with much enthusiasm as it involved presentation of talents by the selected candidates. Out of them five were selected for the final round. The audience got a glimpse of the contestant’s views of how happy they were to be born woman. A wave of pride swooped through the faculty who were present to witness the show. A special mention must go to Ms. Nishel Prem Elias, Department of English, who groomed the eighteen vibrant girls.

The audience waited with baited breath as the titles were announced. Ms.Neha Remakant of third year B.Com. Finance was awarded the crown of Miss All Saints’, 2020. Tina Jose of third year Economics was chosen as the first runner-up and Caroline Stanley of third year B.Com Finance was awarded the position of the second runner-up. Those who have witness the show do surely know that the magnificent eighteen were all beauties with brains.
