The department of Botany is well equipped with talented faculty and sufficient infrastructure facilities required for teaching and research. Apart from the degree practical lab, the department has a well equipped research lab. Currently the department has a UGC Minor project and one project funded by the Kerala State Biodiversity Board. Projects on biodiversity documentation of outside campuses are under taken as a part of extension activities. The department intends to provide quality education with balanced basic knowledge of modern plants sciences to the students.
