“DREAMS” Annual Community Conference on 11th January 2020

 The annual community conference of the “DREAMS” was held at the Nodal Office of Christ, Deemed to be University at Vazhuthacaud on 11th of January, 2020. It was a wonderful amalgamation of different NGO’s and volunteers dedicated to social service and upliftment of humanity to which the NSS volunteers and student union representatives of All Saints’ College were invited. The main agenda of the conference was to familiarize the delegates with the risks, hard work and dedication associated with social service.

The session began at 10:00 am with the formal welcome by the facilitator of the conference and the director of “Let Us Dream”, Dr. Fr. Lijo Thomas.  He had earlier addressed the students and union members in the college in a brief interactive session and invited them to join the cause towards which the “DREAMS” team was working .He gave the audience a brief idea about the organization as to its involvement in uplifting the less-active student community in our educational system. He explained how it was basically five steps that led you to success and also outlined the progress of the program that kick started in Louisiana. 
 
The keynote address was rendered by K. Jayakumar IAS, who addressed the audience with much enthusiasm. He talked about the risk of dreaming and accomplishing that dream. The vision of one’s life should be one’s dream implemented as work. The audience, who were all passionate about the dream that they pursued were exhorted to be agile in their ways. The keynote speaker introduced the importance of such institutions in the society by pointing out how the State cannot always be kind to the people.
