ZOOLOGY ASSOCIATION
The Inauguration of the activities of the Zoology Association for the academic year 2012-13 was conducted on 9th August, 2012 at 10.30 a.m in the College Recreation Hall. Dr. Srinivas Pai, Scientist “D”, Department of Biochemistry of the Sri Chitra Tirunal Institute of Medical Sciences and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp. He gave an introductory speech on the aim and scope of science and delivered a lecture with a power point presentation about “Goals of Human Genome Project” and also on the latest research works presently being done in the field of “Cardiology - Importance and benefits for the mankind”. The programme was not only informative and interesting but was also motivating and gave an opportunity for the students to understand about the scope and recent advancements in the field of research.
PTA MEETING
The P.T.A meeting of the 6th Semester students was conducted in the Department by Dr. Dhanalekshmy T.G. on 28th November, 2012.
FIELD STUDY TRIP
A four-day field study trip to Munnar was organized for the final year students by Dr. D. Sherly from 14th to 17th December, 2012.
