Inter-Collegiate / Departmental / Organisations
- A team of six second year degree students participated in the inter-collegiate Atthapookkalam competition on 14th August, 2010 organized by Red FM 93.5 in co-operation with TATA –TIOn an Onakoottaima at Infant Jesus School, Kawdiar. The team won the first prize with a cash prize of Rs 5000/-.
- Aswathy. T.S. the second year degree student won 2nd prize in Poster designing competition organized by Terumopenpol on 23rd September, 2010 for promotion of voluntary blood donation. She also got a consolation prize for English Slogan competition.
- Srithi.S.Thampy, the second year degree student won the 1st prize in the painting competition jointly organized by the Department of Information and Public relations, Government of Kerala and the Centre for Ghandhian Studies, University of Kerala in connection with the Gandhi Jayanthi week Celebration, 8 October, 2010 held at V.J.T. hall.
- Krishnapriya T.R., and Devika Kannan, the second year students participated in the 6th Prof. I.P.Napoleain Memorial Inter Collegiate Quiz Competition conducted by the P.G. & Research Department of Zoology, Fatima Matha National College, Kollam on 26th November.
- Ms. Aswathy.T.S. the second year degree student won the 2nd prize in the painting competition conducted by the Sree Chithira Thirunal Smaraka Sangeetha Natyakala Sahakarana Padana Kendram in connection with the Ananthapuri Nirtha Sangeetholsavam and 98th Sree Chithira Thirunal Jayanthi Celebration, 2010.
- The cultural programmes held in the college 10 November,2010 Ms. Aswathy.T.S. the second year degree student won the 3rd prize in the Kaleidoscope competition at AVANT GARDE 2010, the literary fest organized by the PG and Research Department of English, Mar Ivanios College, Thiruvananthapuram on 18-19 November, 2010.
- Ms. Ashalekshmi.S. the final year Botany Degree student won 1st prize in the interdepartmental quiz competition held on the topic “Cultural, Spiritual and Linguistic Links of Biodiversity” held in the Zoology Department on 25th November, 2010.
- Ms. Sonu Balachandran, second year student attended a 10-day winter adventure camp organized by the Jawahar Institute of Mountaineering and Winter Sports sponsored by N.S.S. Regional Centre, Thiruvananthapuram from 11th January to 20th January, 2011.
- Ms. Surya.K., the second year student presented a paper at a Seminar in Hindi for College students organized by Hindustan Life Care Limited on the topic Contributions of Hindustan Latex Limited Life Care in improving the health care delivery in India on 10th March, 2011. She won the consolation prize and was awarded with a memento.
Cultural Events
- Remitha A.R. and Hesiya X. the second year degree students won the 1st prize in Eastern Group Dance.
- Mayoora. B.C. and Surya.K. won the 2nd prize in Vegetable carving competition.
- Neethu Udayan, the second year student won the 1st prize in cartoon competition and 3rd prize in the eastern group dance.
- Veena Devi, the final year student won the 2nd prize and Shahna. Z. the second year student won the 3rd prize in cartoon competition.
- Srithi. S.Thampi won the 3rd prize in painting competition while Aswathy T S won the 1st prize in pencil drawing competition.
- The first year students won the 3rd prize in group song competition.
- Vinitha L and Krishnapriya K. participated in the quiz competition on Christian History, Christian Life and Christian Bible by the Bible Walk Organisation on 21st November.
- Krishnapriya T.R. the second year student won 2nd prize while Devika Kannan, Jitha.T.Nair and Reethu Rachel Jerome won the consolation prize in the quiz competition conducted by the IMA, Trivandrum branch on 1st December in association with the “World AIDS Day”. A memento and cash prizes were given to the winners.
- 9 first year students, the N.S.S. members attended the Seminar intended to create awareness among the students about AIDS and Blood donation conducted at the A.K.G. Centre, Palayam, Trivandrum on 1st December, the “World AIDS Day”.
- Aswathy A. the second year student attended the N.C.C. Camp conducted at CRPF Camp, Pallipuram from 10th -19th December.
