French students participated in the ‘STAGE’ organized by the Alliance Francaise, Trivandrum on 16th of June .
Dr. Vipin chandran, HOD of French, Mar Ivanios College Trivandrum delivered a speech on Linguistics to the French students.
Director ‘Alliance Francaise’ Trivandrum enlightened the French students about ‘Campus France’ at the centre Vellayamballom.
Activities
June-October
The French language Association was inaugurated by two eminent French natives, Cecile Cerutti and Celine di Mantova on 12th of August. It was followed by an interactive session with the French students on the topic “French and its importance in present era”
On 18th August, a French singing competition was conducted in the college as part of French National Day Celebrations.
The French students bagged first prize for both recitation and singing competition held by Alliance Francaise de Trivandrum on 23rd August. Two other teams that represented the college won a third prize each for singing competition.
French students took part in the cheese and wine tasting event held by Alliance Francaise on 26th of August 2014.
The department lends its support to the co curricular activities of the college when students sung French songs at the inauguration of “Harmony”- the college music club on 14th October.
The French students tickled the taste buds of the fellow students on 18th February 2015 by hosting “Madame est servie”- a French Food festival in the campus were French delicacies were served.
As part of “Mardi Gras” celebrations, students participated at Alliance Francaise on 21st February.
As part of the language exhibition on 17th March, French students exhibited their creative talents by making models of famous French Architectural splendours like Eiffel Tower, Louvre etc.
