The activities of Malayalam Language Association for the academic year 2013-14 was inaugurated by Dr. M Rajeev Kumar eminent short story writer on 27/08/2013.

 

Communicative Development Activities : Malayalam department is in charge of Women Studies Cell conducted a seminar on Women and media in association with Kerala State women’s Commission.

WORKSHOP : One “ Cherukadhayude Rasathantram”- based on Malayalam Short stories.

PUBLICATIONS:

  • Departmental Publications : ‘Thoolika’ manuscript magazines.
  • Dr. C Udayakala published an article in Navayngam Daily about the great poet Vayalar Ramavarma entilied “ Anaswaranya Vayalar”.

Joined as part time research scholar in the Department of Malayalm, Kariyavattom under the guide ship of Dr. B V Sasikumar.

Research Topic : ‘Madhavikuttyudesyum Mridula Garintiyum kadhakal – oru thanayarya padanam – Comparative study – short stories of madhavikutty & Mridulagarg

ORIENTATION PROGRAMME

Dr. C Udayakala attended an orientation programme sponsored by UGC at UGC Academic staff college.

Women's Studies Cell

Malayalam department is in charge of Women Studies Cell conducted a seminar on Women and media in association with Kerala State women’s Commission.

Dr. C Udayakala is the Co-coordinator of Women’s Study Cell. The Kerala State Women’s Development Corporation gave recognition and granted 10000/ -Rs. for the activities of Women’s Study Cell. Kum. Gayathry Gopal is the student convener of Women Study Cell. On 24th of February 2014 Women Study Cell conducted a one day seminar and an open forum “on Gender Awareness”. ADGP Dr. B. Sandhya IPS inaugurated and delivered an inspiring speech. Dr. C. Udayakala presented a paper on Gender Awareness. Adv. Sreela Sasidharan an eminent social worker led the open forum. The Women Study Cell members created a manuscript magazine named “Ujjwala” containing students’ articles related on women issues. On 25th February 16 students and two teachers Dr. C. Udayakala and Dr. Sindhu Yasodharan participated in the Sthree Sakthi Seminar Conducted by KSWDC at Press Club Hall. On 7th March 30 students and Dr. Sindhu Yasodharan participated in the seminar conducted by KSWDC at Muscot Hotel. Dr. C. Udayakala and 10 members of the Women Study Cell members participated in 2days National seminar conducted by St.Xaviors’ College. On 8th March (Inter National Women’s Day) so many students and teachers of All Saints’ College participated in the She Walkathon conducted by KSWDC and the Metro Manorama at Kanakakunnu Booth No. 2.
