Walk with a scholar (WWS)

Walk with a Scholar programme initiated by the Government of Kerala for under graduate students has provided the students a great platform to realize their career goals as well as to develop themselves better.  All Saints’ College, Thiruvananthapuram has undertaken the WWS programme with a vision to provide help to the students and has come up with a good team of 60 meritorious scholars, wonderful and facilitative internal mentors.  This academic year has been extremely fruitful, eventful and supportive to the students which included in itself a great manifold of activities. 
Walk with a Scholar (WWS) scheme introduces the idea of mentoring and builds on the concept of mentor as a “Guide and Friend”. The scheme aims at giving necessary orientation to needy students, to prepare them for employment and give them necessary guidance, motivation and necessary mental support to identify appropriate areas for higher study as well as employment. This scheme proposes to arrange specialized mentoring programme for students in Under Graduate programmes in Arts, Science and Commerce and to provide guidance for their future. The mentoring should be planned to identify the areas suitable for students and the opportunities available for them.

Scholar Support Programme (SSP)

 The Scholar Support Programme (SSP) is an initiative of the Government of Kerala that seeks to impart personalized academic support to needy students. The programme began at All Saints College in September 2018. Dr. Vidya Nair, Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science is the Coordinator of SSP. 
 

National Service Scheme (NSS)

The aim of the NSS is personality development through community service. The NSS gives students opportunities to engage themselves in constructive action for social welfare. Educational, health-related, agricultural and self-employment programmes are included in the various activities.

Consultancy Services

Consultancy services are made available to the community. Consultancy services are offered to industries, NGOs and other organizations of social concern.

Counselling Cell

This Cell aims at providing counselling to students. It helps the students deal with both personal as well as academic problems. It helps the students to identify their strengths and weaknesses and choose their careers in accordance with this. To this end, the Cell organizes seminars, workshops and career guidance programmes. The Cell also extends the services of professional counsellors to the students.
 

Red Ribbon Forum & Club 25

In order to encourage voluntary blood donation among students and promote awareness of safe blood donation, the Red Ribbon Forum and Club 25 function in the college. Club 25 is a voluntary blood donation initiative through which members pledge to donate blood 25 times by the age of 25.

The Women’s Studies Cell

The Women’s Studies Cell is part of the Women’s Development Studies started by the U.G.C. Various programmes are conducted in the college to create awareness among the students about problems related to women. The Cell works for the development of the students, helping them to solve personal and academic problems. There is a Counsellor at the service of the students. 

All India Catholic University Federation (AICUF) & Jesus Youth:

As a Christian institution, the college takes a special interest in thereligious and moral formation of the students. All Catholic students are the members of AICUF and regular Christian Doctrine and Ethics classes are held for students. The AICUF and Jesus Youth conduct an annual retreat, the first Friday Eucharistic Celebration, prayers, seminars, talks and leadership programmes.
