“Energy Conservation Programme” organized by the Department of Physics along with the All Saints’ College Union
The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) is celebrating 'National Energy Conservation Week' from 9 to 14 December 2019 to raise awareness among the general public about the importance of energy efficiency and conservation. Hence the Department of Physics of All Saints’ College, along with the All Saints’ College Union organized a talk on “Energy Conservation” on the 16th of December, 2019. The activities of “Urja”, the Energy Club of Department of Physics was also officially inaugurated during the function.
The official function started at 1:30 pm with a prayer song by the students of college followed by the welcome speech delivered by Ms. Anu Mary Thomas, Vice Chair Person of the College Union. Dr. Deepa M., Head, Department of Physics delivered the Presidential address. The session was declared to be officially inaugurated by the chief guest, Sri. Dharesan Unnithan, Director, Energy Management Centre, Kerala. The dignitaries on the dais were also joined by Sri. Johnson Daniel, Head, Energy Efficiency Cell, Energy Management Centre, Kerala. The Vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Anjana P S, Assistant professor in Physics, IQAC Co-ordinator and Co-ordinator of Energy Club. The technical session was led by Sri. Johnson Daniel of EMC.
